The Future Leaders Summer Works Program prepares high school juniors and seniors for successful transitions into higher education, careers, and the workforce. The program emphasizes early career exposure, skill development, and hands-on learning experiences that help students build confidence and professional readiness.

Program highlights may include:

  • Paid work-based learning and internship opportunities
  • Job readiness and employability skills training
  • Career exploration and mentorship
  • Support related to post-secondary planning and approved education costs (as eligible)

Future Pathways Program

(Adults, 18+)

The Future Pathways Program supports adults aged 18 and older who are seeking employment, career advancement, or education and training opportunities. The program helps individuals strengthen job readiness, develop career goals, and access approved resources that support long-term success.

Program highlights may include:

  • Job readiness and career development support
  • Career counseling and individualized goal planning
  • Support for approved education or training opportunities (as eligible)
  • Referrals and connections to supportive services and community resources

Weatherization Apprenticeship Pilot Program

(Adults, 18+)

The Weatherization Apprenticeship Pilot Program is a workforce development initiative designed to prepare adults for careers in the weatherization and energy efficiency industry. This pilot program provides foundational training, hands-on learning experiences, and exposure to skilled trades career pathways.

Program highlights may include:

  • Introduction to the weatherization and energy efficiency industry
  • Pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship pathway opportunities
  • Industry-recognized training and certifications (as applicable)
  • Hands-on learning and job-readiness preparation
  • Connection to employment opportunities with weatherization or construction partners

Participation is based on eligibility, funding availability, and partner capacity.


Supportive Services

Supportive services may be available to eligible individuals to help reduce barriers that impact education, training, and employment success. Services are provided based on eligibility, program guidelines, and funding availability.

Supportive services may include (as eligible):

  • Childcare assistance
  • Tuition or training assistance
  • Additional supports depending on the program and individual need

Palmetto CAP’s General Emergency Assistance Program (or GEAP) provides financial assistance to households who have encountered an unexpected financial hardship including rental assistance to avoid eviction. Assistance is provided once every 24 months.
