How to Help

Investing in Community Action helps move us toward the stable thriving community we all want to live in…

A tax deductible gift to Palmetto CAP is your best local investment in fighting poverty.  100% of each dollar donated directly benefits the program participant.  You take care of the person; we’ll take care of the overhead.  All financial assistance payments are paid directly to the third-party vendor (college bookstore, uniform shop, utility company, etc.) on behalf of the program participant.

Let your elected officials know what you’ve learned about poverty and how they can help economically disadvantaged families by passing (or not passing) legislation.  Not well-versed in advocacy?  Don’t worry!  We’ll train you!
