How to Help

Investing in Community Action helps move us toward the stable thriving community we all want to live in…

Donate

A tax deductible gift to Palmetto CAP is your best local investment in fighting poverty.  100% of each dollar donated directly benefits the program participant.  You take care of the person; we’ll take care of the overhead.  All financial assistance payments are paid directly to the third-party vendor (college bookstore, uniform shop, utility company, etc.) on behalf of the program participant.

Volunteer

From working one on one with families as they move out of poverty to helping with events, there’s an opportunity for everyone.  The opportunity to help economically disadvantaged families exists within almost every Palmetto CAP department.  Please view the Volunteer Job Description Chart or call the Community Relations department at 843-724-6760 ext. 235 for details.
