SC Office Of Economic Opportunity Awards

Palmetto CAP recently won the following awards from the SC Office of Economic Opportunity:

– Fiscal Management Award
– Weatherization Program of the Year
– LIHEAP Achievement Award

The Fiscal Management award serves to identify the Community Action Agency that consistently demonstrates effective fiscal management and accountability.

The Weatherization Program of the Year award serves to identify the agency that consistently demonstrates program commitment through their initiative, made a significant impact the word improving the management capability in service delivery with the Department of Energy’s Weatherization Assistance Program.

The LIHEAP Achievement award recognizes the agency that demonstrates a high level of performance through community outreach, affecting significant improvements in the implementation of the LIHEAP mission (to assist households with low incomes and meeting their immediate home energy needs).

The awards were presented during the 2017 SC Community Action Partnership and SC Head Start State Association Spring Statewide Training Conference.

We are thrilled to know that our commitment to excellence has been recognized at the highest levels and we are dedicated to continuing to serve our program participants with the utmost integrity.

Palmetto CAP’s General Emergency Assistance Program (or GEAP) provides financial assistance to households who have encountered an unexpected financial hardship including rental assistance to avoid eviction. Assistance is provided once every 24 months.
