
Our Employment & Education mission is to increase self-sufficiency by developing strategies that support a better quality of life for residents in Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties. The Employment & Education Programs are dedicated to empowering individuals by providing essential resources, training, and support to help remove employment and educational barriers. Through career development opportunities, financial assistance, and personalized guidance, these programs support economic stability and long-term professional growth.
Participants may also have access to additional workforce initiatives and supportive services, subject to eligibility, program guidelines, and funding availability.

This department provides financial literacy classes, one-on-one budgeting sources, free VITA tax preparation and housing stability.
