Palmetto CAP's Employment and Education Program will be hosting a college-prep workshop at the John L. Dart Library from 5:30pm-7pm for 9th and 10th graders called COLLEGE BOUND.  Call 843-724-6760 ext. 212, 230 or 228 to register.  Registration is required to attend.  View the event flier for more information!

Palmetto CAP Open

Palmetto CAP offices will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Office Closed

Palmetto CAP offices remain closed Monday due to flooding.  Individuals who have appointments during the agency's closing will be contacted by Palmetto CAP to set up a new appointment time upon the agency's re-opening.

Weather Notice

Due to inclement weather and flooding, Palmetto CAP's main offices at 1069 and 1071 King Street will be closed for business until Monday, October 5th.

GEAP Notice

The General Emergency Assistance Program has expended all funds allocated for the residents of Dorchester and Charleston Counties.  Appointments to apply for this program will not be scheduled until further notice.

SYW’s Job Site Selection

Palmetto CAP is currently selecting sites to host Summer Youth Works! 2016 employees.  If your business/church/non-profit/government agency/store/doctor's office would like to give a student their first job experience, please contact the Employment and Education Services department at 843-724-6760 ext. 212.

Dorchester County residents in need of rent assistance are asked to call the 2-1-1 Hotline as all funds for that program have currently been expended.
